Day 1:
Arrival at Heraklion airport (HER)
– I will meet the participants at the airport. Transfer approx. 1 hour (70 kms to Matala)
Day 2:
Taking over the motorcycles.
We drive along the southern coastline to the Minoan seaport of Lentas. This first day is used to get to know each other and to adopt the Greek lifestyle.
Day 3:
Starting in Matala, we discover the southwest coast, via the seaport of Kokinos Pirgos, to the foot of the breathtaking mountain Psiloritis. We will cross the slopes of Ida mountains and at the end of the day we will enjoy a cup of Greek mountain tea in the small village of Zaros.
Day 4:
From Matala we will head northeast via winding mountain passes to the Dikti mountains and to the Lassithi plateau. This part of Crete is famous for its windmills and shows the fruitfulness of this island. And it is because of its fruitfulness that this part of Crete has several thousand years of history to show. We have the option to visit the remains of Minoan settlements.
Day 5:
This stage is a mountain stage. Via the mountain village of Anógia we will drive to the Nida plateau, even visited by Zeus himself. We have several possibilities to return to the southern coastline.
Day 6:
We will spend a marvelous day on the southwest coast of Crete. Passing the fishing village of Agia Galini and the quiet beaches of Agios Pavlos, we will drive to Préveli monastery built high above the coastline. After a short break, we will continue our way to Plakias and the Venetian fort Frangokástello. And who still wants more returns to the beautiful beaches of Matala via Chora Sfakion and Rethimnon.
Day 7:
This day is for your own activities. If requested, a boat trip with Achilles is an option.
Day 8:
Transfer to the airport
All tours start at 10:00 h at the hotel in Matala which is also the final destination at night. The described tour is proposed by the tour operator and can at all times be adapted to meet the ability of the group, whether the route itself or the difficulty of the individual stages are concerned.
The daily stages vary between 150 – 400 kms.

Day 1:

Day 2:
Matala – Kefali (80% gravel roads)
– Taking over the motorcycles, easy off-road training.
– We then drive south and discover the area near Kefali-Bathi.
– Visit of monastery if requested.
Day 3:
Matala – Kali Limenes – Lentas (80% gravel roads)
– Marvellous tour along the coastline in southeast Crete. Most impressive scenic roads along the coast, stop for swimming in a secluded bay.
Day 4:
Matala – Kamares – Zaros (70% gravel roads)
– Mountain stage to the interior of the island, the Ida massif.
– This tour leads us through scenic Cretan mountain villages and gives us the opportunity to rest in plenty of kafenions (tavernas) and enjoy a local mountain tea.
Day 5:
Matala – Agios Pavlos – Akumia (70% gravel roads)
– Today, we will head west along the southern coastline of Crete.
– On secluded gravel roads, we will pass by some fishing villages and Agia-Galini, a beautiful village built in terraces.
– After a short trip to a gorgeous bay we can enjoy Cretan delicacies at the taverna „Mama Eva’s“.
Day 6:
Matala – Tripiti (70% gravel roads)
– In the plain of Messara we drive through pristine Cretan villages where we can enjoy Greek coffee.
– The mountain ridge between Messara and the coastline is a rather challenging part of the tour full of bends and turns.
Day 7:
This day is for your own activities. If requested, a boat trip with Achilles is an option.
Day 8:
Transfer to the airport
All tours start at 10:00 h at the hotel in Matala which is also the final destination at night. The described tour is proposed by the tour operator and can at all times be adapted to meet the ability of the group, whether the route itself or the difficulty of the individual stages are concerned.

Terms and conditions
Terms of participation
Participation in motorcycle tours
The participant must hold a valid driver’s licence. The motor cycle used during the event must be registrated for public traffic and in a good and safe technical condition. Greek law applies. Every participant is responsible for respecting the valid traffic regulations and is obliged to drive safely, also with regards to other members of the group. Every participant is responsible for wearing the adequate protective gear. It is strictly prohibited to make a recording of the routes.
Liability
The participants are aware of the increased risks of driving a motorcycle. They drive on their own risk, even when following the guide. The tour operator does not take out any insurance for the participants. The participant has no claims towards the tour operator and all people in charge of the tour, should a harmful event occur during the booked tour. This waiver is also valid for any relatives and other people entitled to maintenance by the participant.
Authority / Responsibility of the participant
The tour guides or other people put in charge by the tour operator have indisputable authority as far as the realization of the tour is concerned. Should a participant fail to obey safety regulations, these terms and conditions or tour-related instructions given by the tour guide, and should he fail to react to any warning in this matter, we reserve the right to exclude the participant from the tour with no refund of the already paid fees. Furthermore, we reserve the right to hold the participant responsible for any damage that may be caused by him.

Cancellation by the tour operator
We reserve the right to cancel the tour – even if confirmed in writing – up to 7 days prior to the start date if the necessary minimum participation is not achieved. In this case, the customers will be completely reimbursed or they can switch to a different date for the tour, whatever they prefer.
We reserve the right to cancel the tour even with shorter notice or after the start date if:
- The tour guide is not available due to sickness or injury and if no adequate replacement can be found;
- The route cannot be travelled safely and if there is no alternative route to follow;
- There are other reasons beyond the tour operator’s control (force majeure).
In any of these cases, our customers will be fully (or partially, if the tour has already started) reimbursed with the paid fees.
